Εδώ Χαβάι. Η (πολυβραβευμένη) Ξανθεια Εύη , η ερευνητρια του Μητσοτακένσκι που έχτισε βιογραφικό με θαλάσσιες εκδρομέςΤο 2013 και το 2018 συμμετείχε σε αποστολές στο Mid-Atlantic Ridge, χαρτογραφώντας τον πυθμένα της θάλασσας των ωκεάνιων συμπλεγμάτων και το 2015 στην οροπέδια των Αζορών, χαρτογραφώντας τα υπεράκτια ηφαίστεια. . Βοήθησε επίσης στη γεωλογική ερμηνεία του θαλάσσιου πυθμένα της Κόστα Ρίκα.

Η Παρασκευή Νομικού είναι Αναπληρώτρια Καθηγήτρια Γεωλογικής Ωκεανογραφίας και Φυσικής Γεωγραφίας στο Τμήμα Γεωλογίας & Γεωπεριβάλλοντος του ΕΚΠΑ και επιστημονικός συνεργάτης του ΕΛ.ΚΕ.Θ.Ε. και μέλος  της Συμβουλευτικής Επιστημονικής Επιτροπής  της ΜΚΟ All For Blue.Στο εξωτερικό συστήνεται ως «marine geologist». 

Η Εύη μεταφέρει αποτελεσματικά τον ενθουσιασμό της για την εξερεύνηση του θαλάσσιου βυθού χρησιμοποιώντας καινοτόμες θαλάσσιες τεχνολογίες σε νεότερους φοιτητές μέσω των εκπαιδευτικών διαλέξεων της στο πανεπιστήμιο, δημιουργώντας ένα πρότυπο υψηλού προφίλ για τις νέες γυναίκες που σκέφτονται να ακολουθήσουν σταδιοδρομία στην ωκεανογραφία.

Έχει γεννηθεί στη Σαντορίνη και τα τελευταία χρόνια ασχολείται εντατικά με την μελέτη του ηφαιστειακού πεδίου της Σαντορίνης τόσο στο χερσαίο όσο και στον υποθαλάσσιο χώρο, κυρίως με το υποθαλάσσιο ηφαίστειο του Κολούμπου (7 Κμ ΒΑ της Σαντορίνης) αλλά και με τη χαρτογράφηση των υδροθερμικών πεδίων της Μήλου και της Νισύρου με υποβρύχια τηλεκατευθυνόμενα οχήματα.  

Έχει δημιουργήσει ένα εκτεταμένο δίκτυο συνεργασίας τόσο με Πανεπιστήμια και Ερευνητικά Κέντρα της Ευρώπης όσο και της Αμερικής συμμετέχοντας σε πολλούς επιστημονικούς πλόες με Γεωφυσικό/Γεωλογικό ενδιαφέρον με το Ω/Κ ΑΙΓΑΙΟ και ξένα ωκεανογραφικά σκάφη (R/V ISKATEL, R/V Marion Dufresne, E/V Nautilus, R/V Pourqoui Pa, R/V METEOR, R/V Marcus LANGSETH, R/V POSEIDON, R/V CELTIC EXPLORER, R/V FALKOR) στη Μεσόγειο, στην Ερυθρά Θάλασσα, στον Ειρηνικό και Ατλαντικό ωκεανό.

 Διαθέτει επαγγελματική εμπειρία στο σχεδιασμό και την εκτέλεση ωκεανογραφικών αποστολών κυρίως σε θέματα υποθαλάσσιας χαρτογράφησης και τεκτονικής, με κύριο ενδιαφέρον τα υποθαλάσσια ηφαίστεια και τα ενεργά ρήγματα.
